This foundation has a place in my rotation of "go-to" foundations. I have to say that this is one of my favorites, and could truly be my HG foundation (you know I can't pick just one!). It's one of the most amazing drugstore foundations I have tried. I definitely feel that it's as good, if not better, than other high-end brands as well.
What I have noticed about this, is that it makes your skin appear flawless no matter what is going on underneath. I have used this on everything from extremely flaky skin (thanks, Retin-A) to seriously tomato red (thanks again, Retin-A and you too, benzoyl peroxide) skin and it covers everything. That's exactly why it's an invaluable item for me to have on hand, since my skin is so unpredictable from day to day.
The foundation itself has a really thick, cream-like consistency, which I actually love even though I usually prefer thin formulations. It's great because it definitely helps in camouflaging dry, flaky areas, which is quite a challenge with alot of liquid foundation. I have used some that highlighted patches of dry skin I didn't even know I had! I apply this with my fingertips as I do most foundations, and it blends like a dream.
The coverage, I'd say, is medium-leaning-full and very buildable. One layer covers most imperfections, but you can build and build without it even coming close to being cakey. In fact, it doesn't look like foundation on the skin, it looks like you have naturally flawless skin. They are spot-on with the name, it really is "Your Skin" makeup!
Another thing worth mentioning is that it is NOT oil-free. Usually oil-free is an absolute requirement for my oily, acne-prone skin, so I was hesitant to try this and it took me a long time to take the plunge. Oddly enough, not only did it not break me out, but I swear it seems to keep me matte longer than most of the oil-free ones that I have tried.
Overall, I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a full-coverage foundation that won't break the bank. Yes, I do think it's a little more pricey than it should be for drugstore foundation, but since it works for me, I don't mind paying it. As far as the packaging, I have to say that the frosted glass isn't the greatest when it comes to picking a shade, but I do like it. It doesn't have that cheap feel that some do, and the pump is great.
